Dr. Lisa Honig, our orthodontist, loves working with her patients to give them the smile they want and deserve. She looks forward to developing lasting relationships with her patients and their families as they undergo the smile transformation process together.
Born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, Dr. Lisa’s interest in orthodontics was first piqued at an early age spending summers helping at her father’s orthodontic practice. She has been pursuing a career in this rewarding field ever since.
Dr. Lisa graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Since in Psychology. She then moved on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where she was inducted into the national dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Lisa completed a three-year residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, where she was named Chief Resident in her final year. Dr. Lisa’s training has exposed her to hundreds of challenging orthodontic treatments, including interceptive, comprehensive, and orthognathic surgery cases.
Dr. Lisa is trained and certified in a multitude of orthodontics techniques, including metal and ceramic braces, Invisalign®, self-ligating brackets, expanders, and laser dentistry. Dr. Lisa is ADEX and BLS certified, is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, and is board certified from the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Lisa, her husband Alex, and her son Henry enjoy cooking and spending Saturdays in the fall cheering on Michigan football (Go Blue!)
