Meet Dr. Lisa Honig
Dr. Lisa Honig, DDS
Dr. Lisa Honig is the board-certified orthodontist at Dentistry for Kids. She’s passionate about helping children and teens achieve the confident, healthy smiles they deserve—and she loves getting to know her patients and families along the way.
Known for her approachable style and eye for detail, Dr. Lisa makes every step of orthodontic care feel more comfortable and rewarding, whether it’s a simple retainer or a full smile transformation.

Dr. Lisa grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, where she spent summers helping out in her father’s orthodontic practice. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong passion for the field.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, then completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry—where she was inducted into the national dental honor society Omicron Kappa Upsilon for her academic excellence.
After dental school, Dr. Lisa completed an intensive three-year orthodontic residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. During her training, she worked on hundreds of complex orthodontic cases, including early interceptive treatment, full braces, and surgical orthodontic care.
Dr. Lisa is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and holds certifications from ADEX and BLS. She’s also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists.
Her thoughtful, patient-centered approach makes orthodontic care feel less overwhelming—and a lot more rewarding—for kids, teens, and parents alike.
Dr. Lisa lives with her husband, son, and daughter. When she's not crafting beautiful smiles, she loves cooking, traveling, and spending fall Saturdays cheering on her alma mater (Go Blue!).
